Electrolytic tin plating of metals
Tin plating is an electrolytic galvanic surface treatment, which involves coating metals, such as tools and other small parts, including brackets, bars, screws but also electrical contacts, electrical junctions and other kind of tools.
These types of galvanic coatings are very ductile and usually have a variable porosity. Our tin electroplating complies with the ASTM B545-13 and MIL-T-10727 specifications.

The properties of tin
Tin is a material that is quite resistant to corrosion and oxidation, offering greater protection against external stresses.
Electrolytic tin plating can be carried out directly on the material to be coated, after obviously cleaning the material to be processed through appropriate degreasing and pickling steps.
From the aesthetic point of view, the appearance of tin plating can, instead, vary from matte to glossy according to the type of bath used, with a color, which goes from white to gray and which also resists contact with harmful humidity or the action of atmospheric agents.
A protective treatment
The tin plating treatment is used as a protection against nitriding on ferrous metals and with anti-seize functions on materials such as iron, copper and aluminum. It is also widely used in the food sector due to its anodic behavior with respect to iron in such applications. The surface appearance can vary from matte to glossy depending on the type of bath used, while the color is milky white.
